Dauphin County CASA Lights Up Giving Tree for Foster Kids

This holiday season many nonprofits in the Susquehanna Valley are doing their best to raise not only spirits but money for good causes and one, in particular, is focusing on children.

It might be the darkest day of the year but one local organization made sure that it wasn’t the darkest night by letting Dauphin County’s most vulnerable children know they haven’t been forgotten.

Through its ‘Holiday Giving Tree Fundraiser,’ $12,284 can now be added to the coffers of Dauphin County Court Appointed Special Advocates, also known as CASA.

“It’s an investment in our children’s future,” said Corey Korinda, Exec Dir. Dauphin County CASA.

For years Dauphin County was one of few counties in Pennsylvania without CASA. But that changed two years ago.
